The Dantherm AD 975 is a mobile condensation dehumidifier from the AD 9 series, designed for continuous operation in large room volumes and humid environments. It removes up to 76 l/24 h at 30 °C / 80 % RH (34.5 l/24 h at 20 °C / 60 % RH) with a power consumption of 1.07 kW. A condensate pump is permanently integrated as standard and conveys the water automatically over height differences of up to 4 m, a clear advantage during long drying jobs when the unit should not be emptied manually. The unit uses the refrigerant R454C and has a sound pressure level of 64 dB(A).

How it works

The AD 975 is operated via the CC6 control unit with a graphical colour display and three buttons. It gives an overview of humidity, temperature, operating status and any error messages. On the main screen you set the target humidity between 31 % and 99 % RH in 1 % steps; a setting of 30 % makes the unit run continuously, so you can switch between automatic and continuous operation. The fan runs at a slow (750 m³/h) or fast (900 m³/h) speed. In night mode the fan runs at the slow speed for 10 hours while the display counts down; afterwards the unit resumes dehumidifying at the fast speed.

In the settings you choose whether the fan continues to circulate air when the target humidity is reached, and you can read the operating hours and software version. The automatic defrost function works in the background. An MID-compliant energy meter and an operating hours counter are integrated. The interface accepts a plug-and-play dew point sensor and an external hygrostat (6.35 mm jack plug) for external on/off switching. The AD 975 is prepared for Dantherm's optional wireless monitoring solution Simplify, and the software can be updated.

Operating conditions and installation

  • Operating temperature: 5 °C to 30 °C
  • Humidity: 30 % to 90 % RH
  • Minimum room size: 4 m² (use and storage only in rooms larger than 4 m²)
  • Electrical supply: 230 V, 50 Hz, 1.07 kW, 5 m cable; operate only on an earthed socket fused with an RCCB
  • Protection class: IP21
  • For closed indoor rooms at atmospheric pressure, e.g. basements, garages or warehouses.
  • Set up upright on a stable, even surface and secure against tipping or slipping; avoid ramps and slopes.
  • Keep a clearance of at least 1 m in front of the air outlet and the air intake area; do not cover the air openings.
  • The supplied drain hose must always be connected; secure it on the discharge nozzle, do not kink it, do not place objects on it and do not put the hose end in water. Recommended hose size for the condensate drain: 9 mm.
  • After transport or prolonged storage, allow the unit to rest in its final position for approx. 15 minutes before starting.

Frequently asked questions

Does the condensate have to be emptied?
No. The AD 975 has a permanently integrated condensate pump that discharges the water automatically via the supplied drain hose over height differences of up to 4 m. The drain hose must always be connected.

Can the AD 975 be controlled by an external hygrostat or a dew point sensor?
Yes. An external hygrostat is plugged into the integrated interface with a 6.35 mm jack plug; the unit is then set to continuous operation and switched on and off by the hygrostat. With the plug-and-play dew point sensor, the unit automatically switches to dew point operation and starts as soon as the temperature falls below the dew point. Both are optional accessories.

How do I switch between automatic and continuous operation?
Set the target humidity between 31 % and 99 % RH for automatic operation. At a setting of 30 % the unit operates continuously. In the settings you can also choose whether the fan keeps circulating air once the target humidity is reached.

What maintenance does the AD 975 need?
With the unit switched off and unplugged, remove the air filter, clean it (e.g. with a vacuum cleaner) or replace it with an original filter, and check the discharge nozzle and drain hose. Work on the electrical components and the refrigeration circuit is reserved for the manufacturer or authorised personnel.
