Dantherm Aerial AB 200 – Side-Channel Blower (80 m³/h, 130 mbar)
Available to order: typical lead time 5–10 working days. We confirm the exact date after your order or enquiry.
The Dantherm Aerial AB 200 is a ready-to-use side-channel blower for professional insulation-layer and cavity drying in water damage restoration. It delivers an air volume of 80 m³/h, a maximum overpressure of 130 mbar and a maximum negative pressure of 110 mbar at a rated power consumption of 400 W (230 V, 50 Hz). The compact stainless steel housing with integrated vibration damping and sound insulation keeps the sound pressure level at 46 dB(A), and a calibrated, MID-compliant energy meter records consumption for billing commercial jobs.
How it works
The side-channel blower is mounted on vibration-damping elements inside a sound-insulated case. In pressure mode it draws in room air, or dried air from an adsorption dryer, through the suction connection and blows it through hoses into the insulation layer or cavity; the moist air escapes through relief openings. Alternatively the unit can be used in suction mode. A coarse filter on the suction side protects the internal components from dirt particles. The system is optimised for 50 mm hoses and can be adapted with optional 38 mm hose connectors.
Operation is by a simple on/off switch. An integrated ammeter shows the current back pressure, a useful tool for checking the drying set-up. A fused device socket (8 A) can supply additional equipment, and the integrated cable winder keeps the mains cable tidy during transport.

Typical applications
- Screed insulation-layer drying (suction or pressure method)
- Cavity drying on areas of up to approx. 10–15 m²
- Drying of buildings after water damage
- Restoration of commercial and utility areas
- Commercial buildings, construction and water damage remediation
Operating conditions and installation
- Operating temperature: 0 °C to 38 °C
- Electrical supply: 230 V, 50 Hz; power consumption 0.4 kW; cable length 4.5 m
- Protection: IP23 (protection against access with a finger or similar; protection against spray water falling at up to 60° from vertical; protection against solid foreign objects with a diameter of 12.5 mm or more)
- Recommended room size: 15 m² / 37 m³
- Set-up: on level surfaces on the rubber feet; the side, rear and front walls of the case must not be covered so that air can pass freely (operating manual).
- Electrical connection: according to the operating manual, check mains voltage, adequate fusing, a residual-current device (RCD) and a properly earthed socket before connecting; unwind cable drums completely.
- Suction mode: according to the operating manual, a permissible water separator must always be connected upstream when the blower is used for suction.
- Not permitted (operating manual): rooms with potentially explosive or aggressive atmospheres, high solvent concentrations, ozone-treated air, extremely high dust loads, or salty liquids.
Scope of delivery
The scope of delivery follows the manufacturer's specification; please ask us if you need a detailed list. The coarse filter on the suction side is part of the unit. Hoses are listed by the manufacturer as optional extras and are not included.

Frequently asked questions
Can the AB 200 be used for both pressure and suction drying?
Yes. The manufacturer specifies it for screed insulation-layer drying in the suction or pressure method. In suction mode the operating manual requires a permissible water separator to be connected upstream.
What does the ammeter on the control panel show?
It shows the current back pressure of the drying set-up. According to the operating manual the value should be in the green or yellow range; in the red range, measures to reduce the back pressure are needed, for example additional relief openings.
Can I power another device from the AB 200?
Yes. The unit has a device socket fused at 8 A, for example for an adsorption dryer used together with the blower.
Which hose size should I use?
The system is optimised for 50 mm hoses. Optional 38 mm hose connectors allow it to be adapted to 38 mm hoses.
What maintenance does the blower need?
The operating manual calls for regular cleaning, including checking and cleaning the filter on the suction connection, a visual inspection and cleaning the outside with a damp cloth; on construction sites after every job or once a week.
