Dantherm Aerial AD 110 – Wall-Mounted Condensation Dehumidifier (15 l/day)
Available to order: typical lead time 5–10 working days. We confirm the exact date after your order or enquiry.
The Dantherm Aerial AD 110 is a compact, wall-mounted condensation dehumidifier with a stainless steel housing and an integrated condensate pump (3 m delivery head). It removes up to 15 l/24h (at 30 °C / 80 % r.h.) with an air flow of 225 m³/h and is recommended for rooms of up to 56 m² / 140 m³. Designed for permanent installation and continuous operation, it suits technical rooms, archives, museums, basements and wellness areas where floor space is limited.
How it works
The AD 110 works on the condensation principle using heat pump technology. Filtered room air is drawn in from the side, moisture condenses on the cold evaporator and the dried air is returned to the room through a front diffuser for even dehumidification. An energy-efficient axial fan moves the air; a hermetically sealed rolling piston compressor drives the refrigerant circuit, and the condenser and evaporator are made of copper tube with aluminium fins.
The condensate is pumped away automatically by the built-in pump through the discharge hose to a drain up to 3 m higher. The humidity switch on the control panel sets the target humidity (position "0" = off, "Cont." = continuous operation). The display shows the current room temperature and humidity, the target humidity and the operating hours; signal lights indicate target reached, dehumidifying, temperature out of range and pump fault. Hot gas defrosting keeps the unit working reliably at low temperatures.
Key benefits
- Space-saving wall mounting — compact unit on a sturdy wall bracket (standard equipment) that keeps floors free and can be mounted discreetly.
- Integrated condensate pump — condensate is pumped automatically up to 3 m delivery head, so no tank needs emptying in permanent installations.
- Stainless steel housing, IP54 — robust housing protected against dust in harmful quantities and splash water from all directions.
- Demand-based humidity control — the built-in hygrostat runs the unit only when needed, with a continuous operation setting as an alternative.
- Hot gas defrosting — reliable operation at low room temperatures down to 5 °C.
- Consumption and runtime on record — integrated operating hours counter and a non-resettable MID-compliant energy meter.
- Service-friendly refrigerant circuit — circuit with service connection, designed consistently for continuous operation.
Typical applications
- Archives and museums
- Waterworks and technical rooms
- Conservation and preservation of cultural assets
- Basements, living and wellness rooms
- Pharmacy and research
- Classic car garages
- Commercial and storage areas
Operating conditions and installation
- Operating temperature: 5 °C to 30 °C; relative humidity: 35 % to 95 % r.h.
- Electrical supply: 230 V, 50 Hz; cable length 3 m. According to the operating manual the socket must be earthed and adequately fused; an earth leakage circuit breaker is required in damp rooms and on building sites.
- Protection class IP54 (per TROTEC technical data).
- For closed indoor rooms at atmospheric pressure. The manual requires a room larger than 4 m² that is adequately ventilated, and excludes potentially explosive or aggressive atmospheres, rooms with water of a pH value below 7.0 or above 7.4, rooms with salt or liquids with a salt content above 1 % (e.g. brine baths) and rooms with ozone-treated air, high solvent concentrations or high dust pollution.
- Wall installation by two people, using only the supplied wall mount and installation kit, on a wall able to bear the load. Clearances: at least 100 cm in front of the air outlet and the air filter, at least 10 cm above the top of the wall mount and at least 60 cm between the bottom of the wall mount and the nearest object.
- Run the discharge hose to a drain without kinks (maximum height difference 3 m).

Frequently asked questions
Does the AD 110 have a water tank that needs emptying?
No. The built-in condensate pump pumps the water away automatically through the supplied 12 × 2 mm discharge hose to a drain with a maximum height difference of 3 m. If the pump is blocked or faulty, a signal light shows a pump fault.
What do I need to mount the unit on the wall?
The wall mount and a universal installation kit are included. The manual specifies installation by two people on a wall that can bear the load, using a spirit level and two 8 mm drill holes, with at least 100 cm free space in front of the air outlet and the air filter.
Can the AD 110 run continuously?
Yes. Turn the humidity switch to "Cont." for continuous operation. In hygrostat mode the unit runs for at least 10 minutes and the fan continues for 30 minutes after the target humidity is reached.
How is the AD 110 maintained?
The air filter is removed and cleaned (e.g. with a vacuum cleaner) or replaced with an original filter. The manual also describes cleaning the drip tray and blowing the unit out with compressed air; work on the refrigerant circuit and electrical components is reserved for the manufacturer or authorised personnel.
Can I document the energy consumption?
Yes. The unit has an integrated MID-compliant energy meter that cannot be reset, plus an operating hours counter shown on the display.
