The Dantherm DH 20 is a compact, wall-mounted condensation dehumidifier developed for smaller commercial rooms such as stores, technical plant rooms and archives, wherever excess humidity can cause mould, mildew stains or moisture damage to materials. It removes up to 18.4 l/24 h at 30 °C / 60 % RH, circulates 375 m³/h of air and drains the condensate directly through a hose, without manual emptying. The aluminium housing and cataphoretically coated heat exchangers are designed for permanently humid environments, and the unit uses the natural refrigerant R290 (GWP 3).
How it works
The fan draws humid room air through the air filter and the cold evaporator, where it is cooled below its dew point and the water vapour condenses. The dried air is rewarmed at the condenser and returned to the room approx. 5 °C above room temperature; the process heat released is 1.5 kW. The condensate runs off continuously, or during the defrost phase, through the pre-assembled condensation drain hose.
The control panel on the side of the unit has a power button, an operating status light, the control dial of the electronic hygrostat for setting the target humidity and a flip switch for the ventilation mode: "Fan" (the fan runs continuously) or "Cycle" (the fan only runs while the compressor is running). Once set, the DH 20 works fully automatically in continuous operation. According to the manufacturer, it can reduce the relative humidity of a room to approx. 40 %.

- Refrigerant R290 (propane) is extremely flammable: install only in rooms where leaking refrigerant cannot accumulate and keep away from ignition sources such as open flames or active gas appliances.
- Wall mounting: two people are required for installation; select screws and wall plugs suitable for the 33 kg unit and the wall. Observe the minimum distances to walls and other objects given in the manual. The unit must hang in its final position for at least 30 minutes before it is switched on.
- Mains connection: the unit is connected inside the housing. According to the operating manual, a power cable with mains plug is not supplied; the short factory test cable must not be used. The mains connection cable must be connected by a qualified electrician before wall mounting.
- Condensate: route the 16 mm hose to a drain without kinks; for larger distances a longer hose of the same type (16 mm diameter) can be used.

Frequently asked questions
Is a power cable with plug included?
No. According to the operating manual, a mains connection cable is not supplied. A suitable cable must be selected according to the country-specific regulations and connected inside the unit by a qualified electrician before the unit is mounted on the wall.
Where does the condensate go?
The water is discharged through the included condensation hose (16 mm diameter, 80 cm). Place the hose end near a water drain; for larger distances a longer hose of the same type can be used. Check the hose regularly for blockages or kinks.
What should I consider because of the R290 refrigerant?
R290 (propane) is extremely flammable. Install the DH 20 only in rooms where leaking refrigerant cannot accumulate, keep it away from ignition sources, and store it only in rooms larger than 4 m².
How often does the air filter need attention?
The manual specifies replacing the air filter every 6 months. In case of high dust or soot pollution, clean or wash the filter after 2 months. Never operate the unit without the air filter.
