HEYLO DT 650 – Condensation Dehumidifier (19 l/day)
Available to order: typical lead time 5–10 working days. We confirm the exact date after your order or enquiry.
The HEYLO DT 650 is a professional condensation dehumidifier designed to reliably lower the air humidity in enclosed rooms, for controlled and fast drying in a wide range of environments. It removes up to 19 l/24h (at 30 °C / 80 % r.h.) with an air flow of 300 m³/h and is recommended for rooms of up to 60 m² / 150 m³. A built-in hygrostat, electronic automatic defrosting and a compact plastic/metal housing on transport rollers make it a practical unit for water damage drying, archives, storage rooms and commercial premises.
How it works
The DT 650 works on the condensation (refrigeration drying) principle: humid room air is blown across the cold evaporator, the moisture condenses on the cold surface and drips off as condensate. The condensate is collected in the integrated condensate tank or led away through a drain hose. The now drier and slightly warmer air returns to the room to absorb moisture again, so the drying process continues.
The unit is controlled with one rotary knob that switches it on and sets the target humidity: the higher the setting (1 to 5), the drier the air; in the "Cont." position the unit dehumidifies continuously without switch-off by the hygrostat. Indicator lamps show operation (RUNNING), a full or incorrectly inserted tank (FULL) and the compressor pause (PAUSE) that protects the compressor after start-up and during defrosting. At room temperatures below approx. 20 °C the electronics detect ice formation on the evaporator and automatically start a defrost cycle.
Key benefits
- Demand-based control — built-in hygrostat with infinitely adjustable dehumidification and a continuous-operation setting.
- Reliable at lower temperatures — electronic automatic defrosting starts a defrost cycle as soon as ice forms on the evaporator.
- Overflow protection — level warning light when the water tank is full and automatic switch-off to prevent overflowing.
- Flexible condensate drainage — collect the water in the tank or connect a hose for continuous drainage.
- Compact and mobile — small footprint (310 × 370 mm) and plastic transport rollers for easy moving between rooms.
- Humidity at a glance — display of the current room humidity, according to the manufacturer's specification.
- Low sound level — sound pressure level of 41 dB(A), suitable for use in offices, archives and other occupied rooms.
Typical applications
- Water damage restoration and emergency drying
- Archives, museums and storage rooms
- Commercial buildings such as offices, laboratories and production rooms
- Rental fleets and drying service providers
Operating conditions and installation
- Operating temperature (technical data): 6 °C to 35 °C; relative humidity: 35 % to 95 % r.h. Room temperatures between 20 °C and 27 °C offer optimal conditions for dehumidification.
- Electrical supply: 230 V, 50 Hz; power consumption 410 W. Protection class IP20 (indoor use, no protection against water).
- Operate the unit in a fully enclosed room: close windows and doors to other parts of the building so that a closed drying chamber is created.
- Do not obstruct the air inlet and outlet; the outlet opening should be at least one metre away from the wall. Inside the drying chamber, open internal doors and use additional air movers if necessary for good air circulation.
- Operate in an upright position only and connect to an earthed socket with the correct voltage, according to the operating manual.
- For continuous operation with a hose, remove the condensate tank and fit the enclosed drain nozzle on the right-hand side of the condensate outlet. The tank indicator (micro switch) must then be blocked; in hose operation the unit does not switch off automatically.
Scope of delivery
The scope of delivery follows the manufacturer's specification; please ask us if you need a detailed list. According to the manufacturer, a drain nozzle for connecting a hose is enclosed; the drain hose itself is not mentioned as included.

Frequently asked questions
How do I set the target humidity?
Turn the rotary knob: setting 1 gives the lowest degree of dehumidification, setting 5 achieves approx. 35 % r.h. (depending on ambient conditions). In the "Cont." position the unit runs continuously without switch-off by the hygrostat.
Can the DT 650 drain continuously through a hose?
Yes. Remove the tank, fit the enclosed drain nozzle on the right-hand side of the condensate outlet and connect a flexible hose. The tank indicator (micro switch) must then be blocked, because in hose operation the unit does not switch off automatically.
Why does the unit pause from time to time?
After every start and during the cyclical defrosting, the PAUSE lamp lights up and only the fan runs for up to about 5 minutes. This protects the compressor and lets the evaporator defrost; normal operation then resumes automatically.
What maintenance is required?
According to the operating manual, the only periodic maintenance is cleaning the air filter: about once a month under normal conditions, more often in dusty rooms. The filter should be replaced after about six months.
