HEYLO KT 45 – Construction Dryer (45 l/day)

The HEYLO KT 45 is a professional condensation construction dryer for reliable and efficient dehumidification on construction sites, in storage rooms and in water damage restoration. It removes up to 45 l/24h with an air flow of 375 m³/h, uses the refrigerant R290 and drains the condensate automatically through an integrated condensate pump, so no tank has to be emptied. Large transport wheels, a fixed handle and a stackable plastic housing make it practical for changing sites and rental fleets.

How it works

The KT 45 dehumidifies the room air by condensation. The condensate collects in the internal condensate tank, from where the built-in pump removes it through the supplied drain hose to a collecting vessel or an on-site drain. The unit defrosts automatically when necessary.

Operation is deliberately simple: the device switch has the positions [0] off, [I] continuous operation with automatic pumping, and [II] for pumping off the remaining condensate before moving the unit. Indicators show the operating status: green = running, yellow = defrosting, red = fault (unit shut down). An operating hours counter and a power meter (kWh display) document each job. With the optional external hygrostat connected, the unit switches off automatically when the target humidity is reached and restarts when it is exceeded again.

Operating conditions and installation

• Operating temperature: 5 °C to 35 °C; relative humidity: 30 % to 90 % r.h. The unit works most efficiently at room temperatures between 20 °C and 27 °C.
• Electrical supply: 230 V, 50 Hz; power consumption 930 W; mains fuse 10 A according to the manual. The socket must be earthed and protected by a residual current circuit breaker, especially in humid rooms and on construction sites.
• Only operate the unit in rooms larger than 4 m² (refrigerant R290). Not for use outdoors, in rooms that are not enclosed, or in potentially explosive, aggressive, ozone-treated, solvent- or dust-laden atmospheres.
• For operation, the supplied drain hose must always be connected; lead it to an on-site drain or a sufficiently large collecting vessel (maximum level difference 6 m) without kinks.
• Ensure free air circulation; the distance between the air outlet and the air filter must be at least 1 m. Place the unit as centrally as possible in a closed room and apply the wheel brake at the operating location.
• After transport or prolonged storage, leave the unit in its final position for approx. 15 minutes before switching it on. A maximum of two units may be stacked.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to empty a water tank?
No. The integrated condensate pump removes the water automatically through the supplied drain hose to a drain or collecting vessel (maximum level difference 6 m). The drain hose must always be connected during operation.

How do I control the humidity automatically?
Connect the optional external hygrostat (item 1110552) to the port on the unit and set the target humidity. The unit switches off when the target is reached, stays in ready mode and restarts automatically when the humidity rises again. Without a hygrostat, the KT 45 runs continuously.

How do I prepare the unit for moving to another site?
Set the device switch to position [II] to pump off the remaining condensate (not during defrosting), switch to [0] as soon as the tank is empty, disconnect the plug and the drain hose, then move the unit on its wheels.

How often must the filter be changed on construction sites?
According to the manual, when used for building drying the unit must be checked and cleaned after each use and the air filter replaced at least once a week. The evaporator and pump sump should also be cleaned depending on use.
