The TROTEC PAC 4100 SH WiFi is a local (monoblock) air conditioner that cools, heats, dehumidifies and ventilates indoor rooms in one unit. With a maximum cooling capacity of 4.1 kW (14,000 Btu/h), a heating capacity of 3.2 kW and a recommended room size of up to 55 m² / 137 m³, it is designed for universal and flexible use indoors. This version is supplied with a roller-shutter window panel and can be controlled via the control panel, the included infrared remote control or the Trotec Assistent app over WiFi. It uses the natural refrigerant R290 (GWP 3).
How it works
In cooling mode the unit extracts heat from the room air; the absorbed heat is discharged outdoors through the exhaust hose and the cooled air is returned to the room by a radial fan. Condensate drips from the evaporator onto the hot condenser, evaporates there and leaves the room with the exhaust air. In heating mode the room is heated to the selected target temperature, in dehumidification mode the room humidity is reduced, and in ventilation mode the room air is circulated without cooling or dehumidification.
The target temperature can be set between 16 °C and 32 °C in 1 °C steps, with three fan stages. The Express function switches to cooling at 16 °C and maximum fan speed at the touch of a button. Night mode, available for cooling and heating, adjusts the target temperature step by step and reduces noise to a minimum. The timer switches the unit on or off automatically in 1-hour steps from 1 to 24 hours, the swing function moves the air outlet for even air distribution, and a key lock prevents unintended changes on the touch control panel. All settings can be made on the unit, with the infrared remote control or in the free Trotec Assistent app for Android and iOS.
Key benefits
- Four operating modes in one unit — cooling, heating, dehumidification and ventilation cover a wide range of requirements throughout the year.
- Express function — one button activates cooling at 16 °C with maximum fan speed when a room needs to be cooled down quickly.
- Night mode for cooling and heating — the target temperature is adjusted automatically in steps and the noise level is reduced to a minimum.
- Three ways to operate — touch control panel with LED display, included infrared remote control, or the Trotec Assistent app via WiFi.
- Timer, swing function and key lock — programmable on and off times from 1 to 24 hours, automatic air distribution and protection against unintended operation.
- Automatic defrosting and compressor protection — the evaporator is defrosted automatically at low ambient temperatures, and the internal compressor protection prevents immediate restarting.
- Natural refrigerant R290 — propane with a GWP factor of 3, in line with European environmental regulations.
- Mobile and complete — compact dimensions, plastic transport castors and carrying handle; window panel, exhaust hose and condensate drain hose are included.
Typical applications
- Cooling and heating of indoor rooms up to 55 m² / 137 m³ (recommended room size).
- Reducing humidity in indoor rooms using the dehumidification mode.
- Bedrooms and rest areas, using the night mode with reduced noise for cooling or heating.
- Rooms with roller-shutter windows, where the exhaust hose is led outside via the included window panel.
- Flexible use in changing indoor rooms thanks to castors and carrying handle.
Operating conditions and installation
- For indoor use only; operating temperature range 3 °C to 35 °C. Do not use outdoors or in the immediate vicinity of bathtubs, showers or swimming pools.
- Minimum room size 11 m²: because of the flammable refrigerant R290, the unit may only be installed, operated and stored in rooms larger than 11 m², without permanently open flames or other ignition sources.
- Minimum clearance to walls and objects (operating manual): 50 cm above, behind, at the sides and in front.
- Electrical supply: 220 - 240 V, 50 Hz, rated current 7 A, recommended fuse protection 10 A, CEE 7/7 plug (type F + E), protection class I, IPX1.
- Exhaust air: the exhaust hose (1,500 mm, connection Ø 150 mm) must be connected in cooling, dehumidification and heating mode and led outdoors, for example through an open window, via the window panel, or hung in a tilted window. Lay it rising in the direction of air flow, without kinks; do not replace or extend it with other hoses. Remove the exhaust hose in ventilation mode.
- Condensate: the unit switches off automatically when the condensate tray (0.6 l) is full. For longer operation, the included condensate drain hose (recommended size 16 mm) can be connected and led to a drain without any incline.
- Set the unit upright and stable on a level surface.

Frequently asked questions
Does the PAC 4100 SH need an exhaust hose to the outside?
Yes. The waste heat from cooling is discharged through the exhaust hose, so it should be led outdoors, for example through an open window or via the included window panel. The hose must also be connected in dehumidification and heating mode so that condensate can be removed; in ventilation mode it is removed.
What happens to the condensate?
Condensate drips onto the hot condenser, evaporates and leaves with the exhaust air. If the 0.6 l condensate tray is full, the unit switches off automatically and shows "Ft". For longer operation you can connect the included condensate drain hose and lead it to a drain or a sufficiently large container.
How large must the room be?
The recommended room size is up to 55 m² / 137 m³. Because of the R290 refrigerant, the unit may only be installed, operated and stored in rooms larger than 11 m², and a clearance of 50 cm to walls and objects must be kept on all sides.
Can I control the unit with my smartphone?
Yes. In addition to the touch control panel and the included infrared remote control, the unit can be operated via WiFi with the free Trotec Assistent app for Android and iOS. The remote control needs two AAA batteries, which are not included.
