The TROTEC PAC-C 1500 SH WiFi is a compact air conditioner designed specifically for caravans and motorhomes. It combines cooling, heating, dehumidification and ventilation and consists of an indoor and an outdoor unit that are permanently connected and hung together into a window of the vehicle. With a cooling capacity of 1.465 kW (5,000 Btu/h), a heating capacity of 1.465 kW and a recommended room size of up to 15 m² / 37 m³, it has a rated power consumption of 560 W and can be controlled via the control panel or the Trotec Assistent app over WiFi. It uses the natural refrigerant R290.
How it works
The indoor unit absorbs heat from the vehicle interior; the flexible connection line carries the heat to the outdoor unit, which releases it to the outside air. In cooling mode the compressor output adapts to demand and keeps the set temperature with minimal fluctuation. In heating mode the unit warms the interior on cooler days, with the compressor adjusting its output automatically. The dehumidification function removes moisture from the air, and the ventilation function circulates the air without changing the temperature. A condensate pump in the indoor unit carries condensate automatically to the outdoor unit, where it evaporates on the heat exchanger; manual draining is only needed before transport or in case of a fault.
The temperature can be set from 16 °C to 30 °C, with two fan stages. The timer switches the unit on or off in 1-hour steps up to 24 hours. In night mode the fan runs at the lowest stage and "SL" appears in the display for quiet cooling or heating while sleeping. The swing function moves the air outlet flap automatically for even air distribution. Temperature, operating mode and timer can also be set from a smartphone with the free Trotec Assistent app (Google Play and Apple App Store).

Operating conditions and installation
- Intended for caravans and motorhomes. The unit is hung into an open window of the vehicle: the outdoor unit sits outside, the indoor unit inside. Mount the supplied brackets on both units, fix the unit with the star-grip screws and wrap the protective sleeve around the connection line.
- The connection line must never be separated, damaged, kinked, pinched or subjected to tension.
- Indoor temperature range 16 °C to 30 °C; outdoor temperature range 18 °C to 40 °C (operating manual: 35 % to 80 % relative humidity).
- Minimum room size 4 m²: because of the flammable refrigerant, the unit may only be operated and stored in rooms larger than 4 m².
- Minimum clearance to walls and objects (operating manual): 20 cm above, 0 cm behind, 20 cm at the sides, 20 cm in front.
- Electrical supply: 220 - 240 V, 50 Hz, rated current 2.5 A, recommended fuse protection 10 A, CEE 7/7 plug, cable length 1.5 m.
- The indoor unit has no protection against water (IPX0). The outdoor unit is protected only against splashing water (IPX4); it offers no protection against rain, continuous or heavy rain and should be protected from direct exposure to water.
- After transport the unit must stand upright for at least 12 hours before it is switched on.

Frequently asked questions
How is the PAC-C 1500 SH installed in a caravan or motorhome?
Indoor and outdoor unit are already connected by the connection line. You mount the supplied brackets and spacers, hang both units together into an open window of the vehicle so that the outdoor unit is outside and the indoor unit inside, and fix them with the star-grip screws. The connection line must not be separated or damaged.
Do I have to empty a water tank?
No. A condensate pump in the indoor unit transports the condensate to the outdoor unit, where it evaporates on the heat exchanger. Manual draining is only required before transport or in case of a fault; if a lot of condensate collects in the outdoor unit, the included condensate drain hose can be connected.
Can the outdoor unit stay outside in the rain?
The outdoor unit is only protected against splashing water to IPX4. It offers no protection against rain, continuous rain or heavy rain and should therefore be protected from direct exposure to water.
What should I observe after driving or transporting the unit?
Before transport, drain the remaining condensate. After transport, the unit must stand upright for at least 12 hours before it is switched on again. Because of the flammable refrigerant, it may only be operated and stored in rooms larger than 4 m².
