The TROTEC TTR 200 is a compact, portable desiccant (adsorption) dryer engineered to work where refrigerant dehumidifiers struggle — at low temperatures and low dew points. With an extraction rate of up to 0.35 kg/h (≈ 8.4 kg/24 h) and a weight of just 9 kg, it is ideal for cold stores, archives, storage and low-temperature drying tasks.
How it works
Unlike a condensation dehumidifier, the TTR 200 dries by adsorption. Moist process air is passed through a slowly rotating desiccant rotor coated with a highly hygroscopic material (silica gel), which chemically binds the water vapour and releases very dry air into the room. A separate, heated regeneration airstream continuously drives the captured moisture out of the rotor and expels it through a duct to the outside. Because it relies on adsorption rather than cooling a coil, the TTR 200 keeps working effectively at temperatures well below freezing and at the very low humidity levels where condensation dryers lose efficiency.
