The TROTEC TTR 250 is a high-capacity portable desiccant (adsorption) dehumidifier for continuous industrial drying. It pulls up to 1.1 kg/h of moisture (≈ 26.4 kg per 24 h) from the air and keeps performing down to −20 °C, where refrigerant dryers can no longer cope.
How it works
The TTR 250 dries by adsorption rather than condensation. Process air is drawn through a slowly rotating rotor coated with hygroscopic silica gel; the desiccant captures water vapour directly from the airstream and discharges dry air at the Ø 100 mm outlet. A dedicated heated regeneration sector continuously drives the absorbed moisture off the rotor and vents it as warm, humid exhaust, so the rotor is endlessly reactivated. Because the process is independent of the dew point, it delivers deep, low-humidity drying even in near-freezing conditions.
