Multi-classroom studies show 81 % of rooms exceed the 1,000 ppm CO₂ threshold, and winter PM10 routinely tops 90 µg/m³. Cleaner classroom air measurably improves cognitive performance — and TAC delivers it without disrupting lessons.
The challenge
A 2,444-classroom analysis found a median CO₂ concentration of 1,487 ppm, with 81 % of rooms above the recommended 1,000 ppm threshold. A separate Munich-area study of 64 schools measured median winter PM10 at 91.5 µg/m³ and PM2.5 at 19.8 µg/m³ — well above WHO 24-hour guidelines.
The cognitive impact is documented: schools with the lowest traffic-related ultrafine particulate, carbon and NO₂ show up to +13 % better trends in attention and memorisation. Fine particulate is associated with a detrimental impact on mathematics performance of up to 0.5 standard deviations. The same conditions worsen childhood asthma, allergic rhinitis and absenteeism.
What TROTEC TAC adds
HEPA H14 filtration captures the ultra-fine traffic-related particulate, dust mites, mould spores and allergens that conventional school ventilation can't.
