The TROTEC IDE 100 D is a direct oil-fired fan heater with 100 kW of nominal heating power and an air volume of 1,300 m³/h. It is used to keep construction site areas warm, to heat large hall areas and to keep work materials free of ice in severe cold. As a direct-fired unit it releases its combustion gases into the heated air and may therefore only be operated in well-ventilated spaces or outdoors.
How it works
The built-in oil burner is fired with diesel or heating oil. In a direct heater there is no separation between flame and air stream: the axial fan blows the air through the unit, where it takes up the heat of combustion together with the combustion gases. According to the manufacturer the heating capacity is therefore available with 100 % efficiency. Because the combustion gases are part of the warm air, a sufficient supply of fresh air must be ensured at all times. Temperature is controlled by an integrated thermostat with a digital dual display for set and actual value.
