The TROTEC IDE 50 is an indirect oil-fired fan heater with 50 kW of nominal heating power and an air volume of 2,000 m³/h. Indirect air heaters of this kind provide large volumes of clean, dry warm air, as needed for heating construction sites, marquees, exhibition halls, workshops or stables. The combustion gases are kept out of the warm air; they leave the unit through a flue connection and have to be led outside.
How it works
The IDE 50 is fired with diesel or heating oil. The axial fan passes the air along the heat exchanger, the enlarged surface of the combustion chamber, blows it out as warm air and also supplies the combustion air. The combustion products do not enter the air stream but are discharged to the outside through a flue. When the optionally available flue gas discharge is used, neither combustion products nor water vapour reach the room air; in this configuration the unit can also heat enclosed rooms fully automatically, controlled by the built-in thermostat with a digital dual display for set and actual value.
