The TROTEC TTR 6600 is a large stationary adsorption (desiccant) dehumidifier for permanent, ducted installation on industrial-scale drying projects. Rated at a nominal 6,600 m³/h of dry air and up to 37.2 kg of moisture removed per hour, it is sized for extensive production areas and infrastructure where a low, uniform humidity level has to be guaranteed continuously.
How it works
The unit uses desiccant adsorption in place of refrigerant cooling. Process air is drawn through a slowly rotating rotor charged with hygroscopic silica gel, which binds the airborne moisture; on a separate sector a heated regeneration air stream reactivates the desiccant and discharges the moisture as humid exhaust. Rotor rotation makes the cycle continuous, so the TTR 6600 supplies dry air without interruption and reaches deep dew points even when the treated air is cold and already low in humidity.
