The Aerial AD 20 is a compact condensation dehumidifier with an integrated condensate pump, designed for mobile use in building drying, water damage restoration and industrial and water-management applications. It removes up to 18 l/24h (30 °C / 80 % RH), is recommended for rooms up to 80 m² / 200 m³ (construction drying: 150 m³), weighs 16.4 kg and draws 520 W at 230 V, 50 Hz. The refrigerant R1234yf has a GWP factor of only 4, and the unit complies with the EU F-gas regulation (2020).

How it works

The AD 20 dehumidifies by condensation using heat pump technology with energy recovery and a two-stage EC axial fan (200 m³/h and 270 m³/h). Moisture condenses on the evaporator and is collected in an internal reservoir; when the level reaches a limit, the integrated condensate pump starts and pumps the water out through the drain hose. If the limit is exceeded, the overflow protection switches the unit off with an error message. When ice forms on the evaporator, the unit defrosts automatically and the display shows "Defrost".

The built-in hygrostat is set with the arrow buttons: target humidity from 31 % to 70 % RH, below 31 % the unit runs continuously. Further buttons switch between fan stages 1 and 2 and activate night mode (10 hours on the low fan stage, then high). The info button shows room temperature, room humidity and evaporator temperature, and the display language can be selected (DE, EN, FRA, ITA, SWE, NOR, FIN). The on/off switch has a position "P" for manual pumping out of the remaining condensate. An MID-compliant energy meter, a fused auxiliary socket (max. 6 A) for further devices and an integrated cable winding with magnetic holder complete the equipment.

Key benefits

  • Integrated condensate pump — with overflow protection for low-maintenance continuous operation; condensate is pumped away through the supplied drain hose.
  • Compact and light — 320 x 500 x 420 mm and 16.4 kg for mobile use, easy to transport and stackable.
  • Efficient at lower temperatures — two-stage EC axial fan and heat pump technology with energy recovery; 9 l/24h at 20 °C / 60 % RH and 5 l/24h at 10 °C / 70 % RH.
  • Modular with the AERCUBE system — combinable with all products of the AERCUBE series, with fixing points for the AERCUBE lashing system.
  • Auxiliary socket and cable winding — socket (max. 6 A) to power further devices and integrated cable winding with magnetic holder.
  • Energy meter (MID-compliant*) — records the energy consumption on site.
  • Robust housing — impact-resistant, UV-resistant plastic housing.
  • Low-GWP refrigerant — R1234yf with GWP factor 4 and a CO2 equivalent of 0.00056 t; compliant with the EU F-gas regulation (2020).

Frequently asked questions

Does the AD 20 need to be emptied by hand?
No. The condensate collects in an internal reservoir and the integrated pump empties it automatically through the supplied 3 m drain hose (maximum height difference 3 m). Before moving the unit, press "P" on the control panel until the pump has emptied the remaining water; a small amount of water remains in the unit for technical reasons.

Which humidity can be set on the AD 20?
The built-in hygrostat is adjustable from 31 % to 70 % RH in 1 % steps (5 % steps with a long press). Below 31 % the unit runs continuously without regard to the room humidity.

Can further devices be powered from the AD 20?
Yes. Further devices can be connected to the auxiliary socket, which is fused at 6 A. Fixing points for the AERCUBE lashing system allow the AD 20 to be combined with other AERCUBE products.

How is the AD 20 maintained?
Check and clean the unit regularly, especially the air filter: switch off, unplug, vacuum the foam filter on both sides (wash and dry it if necessary) or replace it, and check the drain connection and hose. Use only original filters; the spare filter for the AD 20 is 5107-0066.
