The Dantherm AD 955 is a professional condensation dehumidifier from the Dantherm AD 9 series for closed indoor spaces such as construction sites, warehouses and refurbishment projects. It removes up to 53 l/24h (30 °C / 80 % RH) and 22.5 l/24h at 20 °C / 60 % RH, collects the condensate in a 13 l water container and can be fitted with an optional pump kit for direct drainage. Power input is 830 W at 230 V, 50 Hz, the sound pressure level 53 dB(A), and it runs on the refrigerant R454C (GWP 148).
How it works
The AD 955 works on the condensation principle: room air is drawn in through the filter, cooled on the evaporator so that moisture condenses, and released again as drier air. A rotary piston compressor drives the refrigerant circuit and an axial fan moves the air in two stages (290 m³/h and 550 m³/h). The condensate is collected in the 13 l water container; when the container is full, the unit switches off automatically and shows a symbol on the display. Alternatively the water can be drained through a hose on the drain connection (recommended hose size 15 mm) or pumped away with the optional pump kit, which the unit detects automatically.
Operation is via the CC6 control panel with a colour graphic display and only three buttons. You set the target humidity (31 % to 99 % RH; 30 % = continuous operation), the fan speed and the operating mode. The display shows the current status, room humidity and temperature with a colour-coded status indicator (red, yellow, green). Night mode runs the fan on the low stage for 10 hours for quieter operation in occupied rooms. An external hygrostat (6.35 mm jack plug) or a dew point sensor can be connected plug-and-play, and the CC6 panel connects wirelessly to the Dantherm Group remote monitoring system Simplify.

Typical applications
- Construction drying on building sites
- Warehouses and storage halls
- Refurbishment and water damage restoration
- Basements, garages and residential buildings
Operating conditions and installation
- Operating temperature: 5 °C to 30 °C
- Relative humidity: 30 % to 90 % RH
- Minimum room size: 4 m² floor area; operate only in a sufficiently ventilated room
- Electrical supply: 230 V, 50 Hz, 830 W, 5 m power cable; connect only to an earthed socket protected by a residual current device (RCD)
- Protection class: IP21
- Installation: place upright on a level, firm surface and secure against tipping; keep at least 1 m clearance in front of the air outlet and the air intake; let the unit rest for about 15 minutes before first start, after transport and after longer storage
- Drain hose: end of hose lower than the drain connection with a slope of at least 5 % (5 cm per metre); do not kink the hose or put its end into water
- Not for use in explosive or aggressive atmospheres, in wet areas of swimming pools, in rooms with salt or saline liquids (salt content > 1 %), with water outside pH 7.0 to 7.4, or with ozone-treated air, high solvent concentration or high dust load

Frequently asked questions
What happens when the 13 l water container of the AD 955 is full?
The unit switches off automatically and shows the "container full" symbol across the display. After emptying and reinserting the container it restarts automatically. For continuous operation you can drain through a hose on the 15 mm drain connection or fit the optional pump kit 2002342.
Which electrical supply does the AD 955 need?
230 V, 50 Hz with a power input of 830 W. The manufacturer requires an earthed socket protected by a residual current device (RCD); the power cable is 5 m long.
Can the AD 955 be controlled by an external hygrostat or a dew point sensor?
Yes. An external hygrostat is connected with a 6.35 mm jack plug and then switches the unit on and off while the dehumidifier is set to continuous operation. A dew point sensor is plugged in, the unit switches to dew point operation automatically and starts as soon as the temperature falls below the dew point.
Can the AD 955 be monitored remotely?
The CC6 control panel connects wirelessly to the Dantherm Group remote monitoring system Simplify. It shows humidity, temperature, dew point, evaporator temperature and kWh, the operating status including error codes, and lets you switch the unit on and off.
