The HEYLO KT 20 is a compact construction dryer developed for fast and reliable drying of rooms in new buildings, basements and after water damage. It removes up to 21 l/24h with an air flow of 375 m³/h at a power consumption of only 380 W, and an integrated condensate feed pump drains the water automatically for operation without emptying. With a light, sturdy plastic housing, a weight of 20 kg, smooth-running castors and a stackable design, it suits tradespeople, caretaker services and housing associations that change sites frequently.
How it works
The KT 20 dehumidifies the room air by condensation. The condensate collects in the internal condensate tank and is removed by the built-in pump through the supplied drain hose to a collecting vessel or an on-site drain. The unit defrosts automatically when necessary. A fan motor with high pressure ensures even and effective air distribution and also allows exhaust air hoses to be connected for targeted drying.
Operation follows the principle "set up, switch on, done": the device switch has the positions [0] off, [I] continuous operation with automatic pumping, and [II] for pumping off the remaining condensate before moving the unit. Indicators show the operating status: green = running, yellow = defrosting, red = fault (unit shut down). An operating hours counter and a power meter document each job. With the optional external hygrostat connected, the unit switches off at the target humidity and restarts automatically when it is exceeded again.

Operating conditions and installation
- Operating temperature: 5 °C to 35 °C; relative humidity: 30 % to 90 % r.h.
- Electrical supply: 230 V, 50 Hz; power consumption 380 W; mains fuse 10 A according to the manual. The socket must be earthed and protected by a residual current circuit breaker, especially in humid rooms and on construction sites.
- Only operate the unit in rooms larger than 4 m² (refrigerant R290). Not for use outdoors, in rooms that are not enclosed, or in potentially explosive, aggressive, ozone-treated, solvent- or dust-laden atmospheres.
- For operation, the supplied drain hose must always be connected; lead it to an on-site drain or a sufficiently large collecting vessel (maximum level difference 6 m) without kinks.
- Ensure free air circulation; the distance between the air outlet and the air filter must be at least 1 m. Place the unit as centrally as possible in a closed room.
- After transport or prolonged storage, leave the unit in its final position for approx. 15 minutes before switching it on. A maximum of two units may be stacked.

Frequently asked questions
Does the KT 20 need a water tank to be emptied?
No. The integrated condensate feed pump removes the water automatically through the supplied drain hose to a drain or collecting vessel (maximum level difference 6 m). The drain hose must always be connected during operation.
Can I connect hoses to guide the dry air?
Yes. The KT 20 has a connection for exhaust air hoses. Dantherm offers an adapter for 1 hose (item 1306539), a 3-way adapter for 3 × 50 mm hoses (item 1306553) and a 5 m air duct (item 1250108) as optional accessories.
How is the humidity controlled?
Without a hygrostat the KT 20 runs in continuous mode. With the optional external hygrostat (item 1110552) connected to the port on the unit, it switches off when the target humidity is reached and restarts automatically when the humidity rises.
What maintenance is needed after building drying?
According to the manual, the unit must be checked and cleaned after each use on construction sites and the air filter replaced at least once a week. The evaporator and the pump sump should also be cleaned depending on use.
