TROTEC TTK 171 ECO – Commercial Dehumidifier, 4-Pack (up to 52 l/day per unit)

This package contains four identical TROTEC TTK 171 ECO dehumidifiers for commercial use. Each unit removes up to 52 l/24h (51 l/24h at 30 °C / 80 % r.h.) with an air flow of 450 m³/h and is designed for rooms up to 90 m² / 230 m³. The pack suits contractors who run several units at the same time, for example for building drying, water damage restoration and the permanent dry-keeping of warehouses, archives and laboratories. Each unit has a hygrostat mode and a continuous mode, a 5.5 l condensate tank with a supplied 2 m drain hose, the natural refrigerant R290 and a radial fan whose air outlet takes an optional hose adapter for spot drying and cavity drying. Pallet shipment: all four units are delivered together on one Euro pallet (1200 x 800 mm). Please make sure the pallet can be received and unloaded at the delivery address.

How it works

The TTK 171 ECO works on the condensation principle: the fan draws humid room air through the air filter, the evaporator and the condenser. On the cold evaporator the air is cooled below its dew point, the moisture condenses and drips into the condensate tank, which is fitted with a float. The dried air is slightly warmed at the condenser and blown back into the room. According to the manual, the unit can lower the relative humidity to approx. 30 %.

The easy-care control panel has a digital display and the keys Continuous, Minus, Plus, Timer and Standby, plus LEDs for Tank Full, Continuous mode, Defrost and Timer. In hygrostat mode you preselect the target humidity between 20 % and 90 % in 5 % steps; the display shows it together with the current value, and the unit runs until the target is reached and restarts when it is exceeded. In Continuous mode the unit dehumidifies permanently, independent of the room humidity, for example with the drain hose connected. The timer switches the unit on or off after 1 to 24 hours, and the memory function keeps the settings after a power interruption and restarts the unit automatically. The current room temperature can also be shown on the display. At low ambient temperatures the unit defrosts automatically and electronically by circulating air.

• According to the manual the unit has no protection against water (IPX0): never use it where dripping, spraying or running water can enter the unit, do not use it outdoors and do not place it on wet or flooded floors.
• Refrigerant R290: install, operate and store the unit only in rooms with a floor area of more than 12 m², in which refrigerant losses cannot accumulate and without continuously open flames or other ignition sources.
• Minimum distances to walls and objects: 50 cm above, behind, at the sides and in front.
• Set up the unit upright and stable on a level, firm surface and do not operate it without the air filter. Before first use, mount the two feet, the two transport wheels and the transport handle (parts included).

Frequently asked questions

How does cavity drying work with the TTK 171 ECO?
Slide the optional hose adapter (item 7.331.001.160) into the rails of the air outlet and connect the air transport hose (item 6.100.001.125). Lay the hose into the cavity through inspection flaps or openings made for this purpose; the dry air is blown into the cavity and leaves it again through an existing or added opening, so the moisture dries out over time. TROTEC advises that if the cavity contains heavy dirt, dust or mould, the room should not be used during this method, as particles can otherwise spread.

What is the difference between hygrostat mode and Continuous mode?
In hygrostat mode you set a target humidity between 20 % and 90 % r.h. in 5 % steps and the unit stops when it is reached. In Continuous mode (Continuous key) the unit dehumidifies permanently regardless of the room humidity; the target humidity cannot be set in this mode. Connecting the drain hose is recommended for continuous use.

Is a drain hose included?
Yes. Each unit comes with a 2 m condensate drain hose with a diameter of 11 mm. Lead it to a suitable drain or a sufficiently large container without kinks. If the condensate has to be pumped away, the external condensate pump (item 6.100.003.020) is available as an option.

Can the units be used in wet areas?
No. According to the manual the TTK 171 ECO has no protection against water (IPX0). Never use it in areas where dripping, spraying or running water can enter the unit, and do not place it on wet or flooded floors.

Yes. Before first use, mount the two feet, the two transport wheels and the transport handle on each unit. Screws, nuts and washers are included.
