The TROTEC TTR 2800 is a stationary adsorption (desiccant) dehumidifier engineered for permanent, ducted installation in continuous industrial process drying. It delivers a nominal 2,800 m³/h of dry air and removes up to 15.7 kg of moisture per hour, holding stable low dew points even where the air is cold and already dry — precisely the conditions in which refrigerant dehumidifiers lose their effectiveness.
How it works
At the heart of the machine is a slowly rotating desiccant rotor impregnated with a hygroscopic silica-gel medium. The process air passes through one sector of the rotor, where water vapour is adsorbed onto the desiccant; a separate, heated regeneration air stream then drives that moisture back out of the rotor and carries it outside as humid exhaust. Because adsorption does not depend on condensation, the TTR 2800 continues to dry reliably at low temperatures and very low relative humidity, reaching dew points far below what a condensation dryer can achieve.
