Available to order: typical lead time 5–10 working days. We confirm the exact date after your order or enquiry.
The TROTEC PAC-W 2650 SH is a wall-mounted monoblock air conditioner with heating function that cools and heats rooms up to 34 m² / 85 m³ all year round, without an outdoor unit. It cools with 2.6 kW (9,000 Btu/h) and heats as an air-to-air heat pump with 2.3 kW at a COP of 3.1 (0.7 kW power consumption in heating mode). Installation is done entirely from inside: two core holes of Ø 180 mm through the exterior wall are sufficient, and from outside only two discreet ventilation grilles are visible. It can be operated via the control panel, the infrared remote control or the Trotec app over WiFi and uses the natural refrigerant R290 (GWP 3).
How it works
The PAC-W 2650 SH works as an air-to-air heat pump. In cooling mode it extracts heat from the room air and releases it outdoors through the exhaust air opening in the wall; the cooled air is returned to the room by a fan. Condensate drips from the evaporator onto the hot condenser, evaporates there and is led outdoors through the condensate hose. In heating mode the room is heated to the target temperature, in dehumidification mode humidity is reduced, and in ventilation mode the room air is circulated without cooling. Inverter technology monitors the temperature continuously and regulates the speed steplessly, so the unit can keep the room temperature constant without fluctuations.
The target temperature can be set from 16 °C to 30 °C in 1 °C steps, with three fan stages. The 24-hour timer switches the unit on or off automatically. In night mode, available for cooling and heating, the target temperature is raised (cooling) or lowered (heating) by 1 °C after one hour and by another 1 °C after a further hour, with quiet operation. The swing function moves the air outlet for continuous air circulation. All settings can also be made from a smartphone via WiFi and the Trotec app.
Key benefits
- No outdoor unit — no visible outdoor unit on the façade; only two core holes (Ø 180 mm) through the exterior wall and two discreet ventilation grilles outside.
- Cooling and heating all year round — 2.6 kW cooling capacity and 2.3 kW heating capacity, operating at outdoor temperatures from -5 °C to +35 °C.
- Heat pump technology — a COP of 3.1 means 2.3 kW of heating output from 0.7 kW of power consumption.
- No refrigerant piping — installation takes about half a day: two holes, fix the mounting rail, plug in; the refrigerant circuit stays closed.
- Constant temperature with inverter technology — the unit adapts its output automatically and keeps the room temperature without fluctuations.
- Timer, app and night mode — 24-hour timer, control via WiFi and Trotec app, and a night mode that regulates the temperature gently and automatically.
- Natural refrigerant R290 — propane with a GWP value of 3.
- Takes it with you when you move — when moving out, the holes are closed professionally and the unit can be installed in the next flat.
Typical applications
- Rented flats where outdoor units on the façade are not permitted.
- Listed buildings with façade protection.
- Home offices and studies that need to reach a comfortable temperature quickly.
- Bedrooms, with quiet night mode and automatic temperature control.
- Transitional heating in spring and autumn without switching on the central heating, and a long-term heating option for individual rooms.
Operating conditions and installation
- For cooling, ventilating, dehumidifying and heating room air indoors only. Operating temperature range 7 °C to 35 °C; outdoor temperature range -5 °C to +35 °C.
- Minimum room size 15 m²: the unit may only be stored in rooms larger than 15 m², and only installed in rooms where any refrigerant leakage cannot accumulate and without ignition sources.
- Install on a wall facing the outside of the building. The wall must be stable and suitable for carrying the unit weight of 40 kg; check for steel beams, gas, water or waste water pipes and electrical cables before drilling.
- Required openings: two holes for exhaust air and fresh air with a 180 mm core drill, plus one hole for the condensate drain line with a 20 mm masonry drill, sloping downwards at an angle of at least 5°. Mounting holes are drilled with an 8 mm masonry drill using the supplied wall template.
- Tools required: spirit level, drill, tape measure, cutter knife, pen, 8 mm and 20 mm masonry drills, 180 mm core drill. At least two people are needed for mounting; TROTEC recommends installation by a specialist installer.
- Minimum clearance to walls and objects (operating manual): 20 cm above, 10 cm at the sides, 10 cm in front.
- Electrical supply: 220 - 240 V, 50 Hz, rated current 5 A, CEE 7/7 plug, cable length 1.8 m; connect to a properly fused socket. WiFi frequency band 2.4 GHz.
- Draining condensate must not cause any damage. After transport, let the unit stand upright for at least 12 hours before switching it on.
