The RIDGID SeeSnake Compact 2 is a portable pipe inspection camera system for professional inspection of pipes with diameters from 40 to 150 mm. This set combines the Compact 2 camera reel with the detachable SeeSnake CS6x Versa monitor unit, an 18 V Li-Ion battery and charger. The reel carries a 30 m glass-fibre-reinforced push cable (ø 6 mm) and a self-levelling 25 mm camera head with sapphire crystal lens, 6 LEDs and integrated 512 Hz sonde, waterproof up to 10 bar. The CS6x Versa has a 5.7-inch transflective colour LCD, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and records to the included 8 GB USB stick.
How it works
The CS6x Versa monitor docks onto the Compact 2 frame: the docking system makes setting up and aligning the monitor quick and easy, and the carrying handle lets you carry the complete camera with one hand. The push cable is fed from the durable drum housing into the pipe; the self-levelling camera head keeps the image upright, while the adjustable LEDs and the transflective colour display provide bright, clear images, also in daylight. The 3 m system cable connects reel and monitor.
The monitor is operated via a water-resistant keypad. It saves standard video (MPEG4, H.264), Autolog video (a highly compressed format optimised for pipe inspections), photos (JPG) and PhotoTalk (single image with audio comment) via the integrated microphone and speaker. With the free HQx Live app, the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-equipped CS6x Versa can be controlled from a mobile device and stream images or videos live to a smartphone or tablet. Together with an optional locator, the integrated 512 Hz sonde in the camera head shows the course of the line or the exact location of a defect.

How is the monitor powered?
