The RIDGID SeeSnake microDrain is a complete, compact pipe inspection camera reel for daily work on building installations and house connections. It carries a 20 m glass-fibre-reinforced push cable (ø 8.3 mm) and a 22 mm colour camera head with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal lens and adjustable high-performance LEDs, mounted in a robust stainless-steel housing with a transparent, impact-resistant cover. The system negotiates several 90° bends in lines from ø 40 mm, camera head and push cable are waterproof up to 8.1 bar, and at 3.9 kg it fits into any vehicle and is easy to carry to the job.
How it works
The push cable is fed from the robust reel into the line under inspection. The colour camera delivers a live image with a viewing distance from 10 mm to infinity, illuminated by three Luxeon LEDs whose brightness is adjustable in several steps. Operation is independent of the mains supply.
Two ball guides (one medium, one small) are included. They centre the camera head in the pipe, keep it away from deposits on the pipe bottom and, thanks to their design, let the probe tip pass awkward bends without blocking.
