The TROTEC VSC206 is a cordless industrial videoscope for indirect visual inspection of concealed machine parts and cavities that are difficult or impossible to access. It combines a 2,000 mm probe with a camera head that can be angled in all directions via joystick, 6 white LEDs with adjustable brightness and a 3.5-inch display (640 x 480 pixels) in a compact, portable unit. Photos (JPEG) and videos (AVI) are saved to an SD card for documentation. The unit runs on 4 x AA cells and works at -10 °C to 50 °C.
How it works
You guide the probe to the inspection point and steer the titanium-coated camera head continuously with the joystick on the handset; according to the operating manual the head articulates up, down, left and right by approx. 120°. The six LEDs at the probe tip light the object, and you set their brightness with the brightness key. The live image appears on the 3.5-inch display; the 5x digital zoom enlarges details. With the photo/OK key and the video key you record single images or complete video sequences to the SD card (max. 32 GB) and view them again with the playback key. The multilingual on-screen menu, an automatic switch-off and the fixed-focus lens keep operation simple. Recordings can be transferred via the mini-USB interface; an analogue video output is also provided.

Which batteries does the VSC206 use?
The videoscope takes 4 AA cells: either 1.5 V AA batteries or 1.2 V Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. The operating manual states an operating time of up to 2 hours.
Can the VSC206 be used under water?
Only the probe with the camera head: it is rated IP67 (temporary immersion up to 30 minutes at 1 m depth). The handset housing is splash-proof only and must not be submerged.
How do I save and transfer the inspection images?
Photos are saved as JPEG and videos as AVI on an SD card of up to 32 GB; an 8 GB card is included. You can transfer the files via the mini-USB interface.
How far can the camera head be angled?
