The TROTEC TFV 100 is a radial fan for ventilation applications with high back pressure, such as occurs on long conveying runs with several connected air transport hoses. It delivers up to 4,000 m³/h free-blowing and 2,000 m³/h at 2,020 Pa, with a maximum pressure of 2,080 Pa, on a 400 V / 2,200 W drive. TROTEC recommends it in particular for supply and extract ventilation during renovation, sewer and welding work, including heavily contaminated environments with a high dust content. This is the standard version without explosion protection; on request TROTEC supplies the TFV 100 in an explosion-protected version (TFV 100 Ex).
How it works
Unlike an axial fan, the TFV 100 moves the air perpendicular to the impeller axis on the principle of a centrifuge: the air is pressed outwards and compressed in a spiral (volute) housing. This gives the fan stable characteristic curves and continuously high pressure even against the back pressure of long hose runs. The unit has one fan stage and can be connected to intake ducts as well as to discharge ducts, so it works for both supply and extract ventilation. The manufacturer photos show a switch box on the motor base. If you order the optional transport frame, the fan is delivered completely mounted in the frame.

Can the TFV 100 be used in potentially explosive areas?
No, the TFV 100 is the standard version. For explosion-protected areas TROTEC supplies the TFV 100 Ex.
What electrical supply does the TFV 100 need?
A 400 V, 50 Hz connection. The rated current is 7.8 A, the recommended fuse is 10 A, and the fan has a CEE 16 A connection plug. Power consumption is 2,200 W.
Can I get the TFV 100 ready-mounted in a frame?
Yes. If you order the optional galvanised steel transport frame with it, the fan is delivered completely mounted in the frame. With the frame the unit is also stackable.
How long can the connected hose be?
The maximum hose length is 40 m at a hose connection diameter of 300 mm. At an air pressure of 2,020 Pa the fan still delivers 2,000 m³/h.
