The TROTEC DH 160 BX is a heavy-duty stationary industrial dehumidifier for permanent, unattended humidity control in large industrial spaces. Extracting up to 245 litres per day with 2,200 m³/h of air circulation, it holds production halls, warehouses and technical buildings at a stable, defined humidity level around the clock — protecting stock, machinery and building fabric from moisture damage, corrosion and mould.

How it works

The DH 160 BX operates on the industrial refrigerant-condensation principle: humid air is drawn across the evaporator, moisture condenses out as water, and dry, slightly warmed air is returned — dependably, even at low ambient temperatures. Condensate is removed continuously through a fixed drain connection, and an external hygrostat (e.g. TROTEC HG 120/125) runs the unit only when humidity rises above your set point: genuine 24/7 operation with no supervision and no wasted energy.

Key benefits

  • High extraction on large volumes — up to 245 l/24 h keeps even multi-thousand-m³ buildings reliably dry
  • Duct-ready installation — connects to duct systems or air hoses to deliver dry air exactly where it is needed
  • Built for continuous industrial duty — robust housing, Made in Germany, engineered for years of permanent operation
  • Protected central control panel — recessed controls shielded against knocks and dust in rough environments
  • Service-friendly design — accessible components keep maintenance fast and downtime short

Typical applications

  • Production halls and warehouses with high air volumes and constant humidity load
  • Waterworks and pump stations, where condensation attacks pipework, pumps and switchgear
  • Storage of steel, timber, paper and electronics requiring dependable corrosion and mould protection
  • Technical rooms and basements in permanent, unattended operation
