TROTEC VX 5 – Insulation Drying Turbine (MultiQube System)
Available to order: typical lead time 5–10 working days. We confirm the exact date after your order or enquiry.
The TROTEC VX 5 replaces an entire range of side channel blower classes with one turbine: its three-stage turbo motor spins up to 20,000 rpm and delivers 250 m³/h with up to 220 mbar vacuum and 270 mbar pressure — at a weight of just 10 kg. Adaptronic power control and the HiDry automatic make thinking in blower classes obsolete: one VX 5 covers insulation drying areas of up to 70 m² in suction and up to 90 m² in pressure operation.
How it works
Connected to a MultiQube setup, the VX 5 moves the process air through the drilled openings of the insulation layer — drawing moist air out in suction mode (always behind a water separator and filter chain that protect the turbine) or forcing air in during pressure operation. The sensor-based HiDry automatic continuously measures the actual volume flow and regulates the turbo motor to the pre-set flow optimum of each level, like a cruise control: high resistance at the start of drying demands more motor output, and as the floor dries out the power demand — and with it the electricity consumption — falls continuously. Power and consumption are always linearly linked, so the final drying phase runs at a fraction of the initial energy cost.
Key benefits
- One turbine instead of many blower classes — level 1 matches a 0.8 kW side channel blower, level 2 exceeds a 1.1–1.3 kW unit by about 10%, level 3 reaches 140% of a 1.1–1.3 kW unit and 80% of a 3 kW unit.
- HiDry automatic — volume-flow-oriented regulation instead of resistance-oriented; always the most effective drying performance at minimum energy input.
- Ultra-light 10 kg — roughly half the weight of a conventional side channel blower, a real difference on stairways and multi-storey jobs.
- Whisper mode — an extra low-noise level for night operation in occupied buildings.
- Full transparency — NT multifunction display with plain-text status, performance control lighting, Optiflow indication and counters for operating hours and power consumption.
- MultiQube integration — stackable housing, touch controls, service socket for a dehumidifier, quick-release maintenance fasteners and castors with parking brakes.
Typical applications
- Insulation layer drying after water damage on larger floor areas
- Suction and pressure drying setups within the MultiQube system
- Night and weekend operation in occupied residential and office buildings
- Restoration fleets standardising on one turbine for all blower duties
